Network Installation

Network switch with labelled patch leads

Cat6, fibre, and labelled outlets. A survey of the ceiling and the cabinet before any drum of cable is opened.

01

Labelled ends

Every outlet traces back to a port.

02

The cabinet

Patch panels, switches, and room to grow.

03

Tested

We certify the runs before we hand over.

Cabling you can trace a year later.

An office network is the cable in the ceiling, the patch panel, and the labels on both ends. We survey the routes and the cabinet before a drum is opened.

The handover is a tested run to every outlet, a tidy cabinet, and a drawing that shows which port is which desk.

What the job includes

  • A survey of ceiling routes, floor boxes, and the cabinet location
  • Cat6 or fibre, chosen for the distance and the speed you need
  • Patch panels, and a label on the outlet and the panel
  • A test of each run before we leave
  • An as-built note of the cabinet and the outlet numbers

From the first visit to handover

  1. 01

    Survey

Routes, obstacles, and how much space the cabinet has.

  2. 02

    Pull and terminate

Cable in, ends finished, nothing left unnamed.

  3. 03

    Test

Each run is checked. Failures are redone before handover.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Labels, a drawing, and the switch ports that are live.

In practice

Cabling you can still read next year.

Every outlet labelled, every run tested, the cabinet left tidy.
